“SAVED BY GRACE” is a deeply personal and prophetic painting capturing the artist’s depiction of her near-death-experience - a sacred time when she lost conscousness and was drawn from the darkness up into the overwhelming brilliance of Heavenly light. At the heart of the piece, a radiant white light draws Valerie upwards as she experiences waves of pure love, peace, joy and hope. Surrounding the light is a shimmering gold symbolic of the glory of God, whilst the softness of the watercolour medium enhances the spiritual atmosphere.
